xangas and genres

it's so addictive to read random people's xangas. especially those weepo emo ones. i mean, they're happy to be depressed. talk about being walking oxymorons.

and here's also something i don't get: why do pop bands disguise the genre they play with their hairstyles? no, i'm not talking about the ones that are popular on radio here. i'm talking about semi-indie ones that play pop but call themselves indie. i'm being lazy so i can't give you an example, so basically what i'm saying doesn't have any thing to be based on. oh, well. and all the stereotypes of music are being blurred, so i can't even tell people what kind of music i like anymore. if i say punk, they will be all "simple plan? OMIGOSH! I FRICKIN LOVE THEM TOO!!! WE CAN BE LIKE, TWINS!!" well... you get the idea. and if i say hardcore, they'll either think: 1. dirty, or 2. "that's not music... it's like, metal". ok, how about... ska? ok. good to reassure myself that ska hasn't been polluted.

hmmm... so that brings me to He Is Legend. how am i supposed to describe what kind of music they play? anyway, so much for boxing things up.

i also think too much, and i happen to think that this entry will be deleted soon.

christine's birthday is today and we're supposed to do something, which might include going to her church. *coughpleasepleasepleaseprayformeifiendupgoingcough*

that was a long cough. i miss chris a lot, but i really can do without going to her church.

right, it's in the afternoon and i'm still in my jammies. not ideal.
